A hidden gem

This stunning property is a hidden gem set in an idyllic village; from its beautiful country lane the property opens through a walled garden encapsulating indoor outdoor living perfectly. The drawing room or best room as we have grown to call it, is to be an adult space. A perfect place to unwind after a hard day.
The client wanted a warm contemporary feeling room. We were careful to be sympathetic to the age of the property, incorporating its original features with contemporary elements.

The project was focussed on injecting textures with the bespoke sofa as the main feature of the room. The client requested a sofa they can lay on and could contain the family at occasions. We created a huge corner sofa, the chase-end to be the size of a single bed so you can lie out and relax whilst watching television. We selected a GP & J Baker ribbed velvet which satisfied the brief perfectly, we then pulled the colours out of the curtains for the cushions, combining lots of different fabrics. The textured wallpaper crates warmth and unity in the room. The subtle accents of bronze in the lighting and artwork make the room pop. We kept the client’s coffee table as it was glass and we wanted it to vanish when you looked at the room. The resulting interior is a high end, yet relaxing space.
